– is the 2007 U.S. Junior Champion, 2008 U.S. (senior) Champion, Junior Grand
Prix Final Champion and a two-time medalist at the Junior World Championships.She is the first lady since Joan Tozzer in 1937 and 1938 to win U.S.
titles at junior and senior level in consecutive years.Mirai is a recipient of the Michael Weiss Foundation Scholarship.
Andrew Naylor
– is a former British pair skater with Cheryl Peake.They competed internationally, including the European and World
Championships and the 1988 Olympics.He skates professionally and often skates pairs in ice shows with
Rosie Tovi.
Molly Oberstar
– is a two-time U.S. Sectional Champion, a five-time national competitor
and a three-time international competitor.She recently played the supporting role of Carrie in the remake
of the film Ice Castles, set
to be released for the 2010 Olympics.
Chris Obzansky
– skated with Trina Pratt to a top-ten finish at the 2009 U.S. Ice Dance
Championships.With Kendra
Goodwin, he is the 2001 U.S. Junior Silver Medalist and the 2002 U.S.
Junior Bronze Medalist.
With Lydia Manon, he is a U.S. Novice Silver Medalist.
Kristina Olson
– is a three-time Regional Champion and a three-time U.S. Nationals
competitor.From 2006-2007
she toured with Disney’s 100 Years of Magic.Kristina was also a U.S. National Synchronized Skating competitor
with Team Breamar.
Daniel O’Shea
– is a three-time competitor at the U.S. Junior Men’s Championships and
at the U.S. Senior Men’s Championships.Danny is the 2008 U.S. Novice Champion. He competes
internationally and has also competed in pairs.
Parker Pennington
– is the 1996 U.S. Juvenile Champion, 1997 U.S. Intermediate Champion,
1998 U.S. Novice Champion and 2001 U.S. Junior Champion.To date, he is the only man to win at all four levels.He has 3 top-ten finishes at the senior level of U.S. Nationals.Parker has also competed internationally.He attends Baldwin Wallace College.
Victor & Nina Petrenko
– Victor is a three-time European Champion.He is four-time World Medalist, including a gold medal in 1992.He won the 1992 Olympics for the Unified Team.Victor skates professionally and is an ISU Technical Specialist.Victor’s wife, Nina, is the daughter of Victor’s coach, Galina
Zmievskaya.Both Victor and
Nina are currently coaching.
Joan Podres
– is a coach with the Glens Falls Figure Skating Club and has been
teaching skating for 25 years.She competed extensively and won the Bulletin Trophy for most
artistic skater in the Philadelphia area. She skated for ten years in
Shipstad & Johnson’s Ice Follies with Frank Carroll and Janet Champion.Her late husband, Johnny Podres was a legendary professional
baseball pitcher and was Most Valuable Player in 1955.
Paul Poirier
– and Vanessa Crone are the 2008 Junior World Ice Dance Silver Medalists
and the 2009 Canadian Silver Medalists.Paul has also competed in singles and is the 2006 Canadian Novice
Champion and the 2007 Canadian Junior Champion.
Page Polk Lipe
– is a U.S. Figure Skating double Gold Medalist.She was an Eastern Sectionals competitor and a principal
understudy for Ice Capades.
She has a degree from Dartmouth College in psychology and education.A coach for over 25 years, she is PSA Master-rated .She is an international coach and an ISI Gold Judge.Jodi Porter
– holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in modern dance.She is a U.S. Figure Skating Gold Medalist and has been a
professional skater and dancer, a choreographer, and an advocate of
skating as an art.She is
Founder and Director of American Ice Theatre.
Trina Pratt
–
and Todd Gilles are the 2005 U.S. Junior Ice Dance Champions.
Trina skated with Chris Obzansky
to a 7th place finish at the 2009 U.S. Championships.Trina previously competed with her brother Robert.
Ramondo Manuel Proia
– is originally from the Republic of Panama and currently lives in
Florida.He has been
skating since 2008 and is the 2009 ISI Nationals Level 5 Gold Medalist.He is a passionate skater and has won numerous medals at various
ISI and U.S. Figure Skating events and is coached by Inga Korchounova.
Scott Prussack
– and his sister, Tracy, were the first pair to land side-by-side jumps
in a National Championship in 1977. Scott is a seven-time competitor at
U.S. Nationals, a U.S. Junior Pair Champion and has been an
international competitor.
Kim Reale Johnson
– is a U.S. double Gold Medalist and a dance Silver Medalist.She has won numerous gold and silver medals at Regional
Championships from 1973-1980.Professionally she has skated with International Ice Shows, Willy
Bietak Productions, Ice and Dance Extravaganza’s City Lites and several
other shows.
Anna Rechnio
– won the Polish Championship in 1994, 1997 and 1998.She competed in the Olympics in 1994 and 1998.Anna is currently coaching.
Cathy & Christopher Reed
– are a brother and sister dance team who were born in the U.S. Their
mother is Japanese.Cathy
and Chris are 2006 U.S. Novice Dance Champions and the 2008 and 2009
Japanese Champions.Their
younger sister, Allison, is also an ice dancer.
Lorrie Reed Parker
– is a double gold medalist and former competitor in both singles and
pairs.Lorrie is
International Chair for U.S. Figure Skating and will be Team Manager and
Technical Advisor for Singles and Pairs at the 2010 Olympics. She
graduated from Oklahoma State University.She serves as Vice President for Kansas City Figure Skating Club.
Kevin Reynolds
– is the 2005 Canadian Junior Silver Medalist.He won the Novice Championship in 2003 and has had four top-ten
finishes at the Junior World Championships.Kevin is the 2007 Junior Grand Prix Final Bronze Medalist.
Adam Rippon
– is the 2008 U.S. Junior Champion and the 2008 and 2009 World Junior
Champion.Adam won the 2007
Junior Grand Prix Final and was the first man to break 200 points at a
junior level competition.
Erica Risseeuw
– is a British pair skater with Robert Paxton.They are the 2009 British Pairs Silver Medalists and finished in
the top ten at the 2009 European Championships.
Jennifer Robinson
– is a six-time Canadian Champion and placed 7th at the 2002
Olympics.She skates
professionally with Stars on Ice and was a skating double for the
character of Casey in the film,
Ice Princess.
Joannie Rochette
– is a five-time Canadian Champion.She has had four top-ten finishes at the World Championships,
including a silver medal in 2009.She is the 2008 and 2009 Four Continents Silver Medalist and the
2004 Grand Prix Final Bronze Medalist.Joannie finished in the top five at the 2006 Olympics.
Janet Ros
– began skating at the age of 48 and has skated for ten years.She is active in U.S. Figure Skating testing and is currently
working on her Adult Silver Moves in the Field test and Pre-Silver dance
test.She also competes
occasionally.
Kristen Roth
– and partner Michael McPherson are the 2001 World Junior Pairs Bronze
Medalists.They also won a
silver medal at the 2001 Junior Grand Prix Final.
Emma Rozell
- is a member of Glens Falls Figure Skating Club. She has passed her
Pre-Preliminary Moves in the Field test.Emma’s brother Ned and her sister Mary also skate.
Susan Russell
– is Senior Editor / Editor of Photography for
International Figure Skating.
Jozef & Jennifer Verili Sabvocik
– Jozef, originally from Czechoslovakia, is the 1983 European Silver
Medalist and 1985 and 1986 European Champion.He competed at the World Championships eight times and is the
1984 Olympic Bronze Medalist.Jozef is known for his enormous, powerful jumps, which earned him
the nickname “Jumpin’ Joe.”
Jozef’s wife, Jennifer, is a former U.S. competitive skater, finishing
in the top ten at the 1992 U.S. Junior Nationals.They live in Utah with their sons. Jozef continues to skate
professionally.
Jamie Sale & David Pelletier
– are four-time Canadian Pairs Champions and the 2001World Pairs
Champions.They are the
2002 Olympic Gold Medalists with Elena Berezhnaya and Anton Sikharulidze.
A judging scandal at the 2002 Olympics resulted in dual gold medals and
subsequent changes to the International Skating Union judging system.Jamie and David married and toured with Stars on Ice before
taking time off to start a family.
Jenni (Meno) & Todd Sand
– were skating with other partners at the 1992 Olympics when they fell
in love. They became a pairs skating team soon after.They were U.S. Pair Champions from 1994 – 1996.Jenni and Todd were World Bronze Medalists in 1995 and 1996 and
Silver Medalists in 1998.They were 1994 and 1998 Olympians and finished in the top ten
both times.They became
engaged just before their Olympic short program in 1994 and were married
in 1995.Jenni appeared in
“Skating with Celebrities” and Todd has appeared in “Dancing on Ice.”Jenni and Todd toured for six years with Stars On Ice.They coach and are raising a family in California.Todd is an ISU Technical Specialist.
Omar Sandoval
– is a competitive skater from Mexico City, Mexico.
Elizabeth Saporito
– has been skating for twenty years and has been coaching since she was
12.She is also an avid
artist and devoted wife.
She loves to play piano and cook.
Amy Saucke-Lacelle
– is a Canadian ice dancer.
She has competed with Jamie Britton at Canadian Nationals, North
American Challenges, and Junior Grand Prix events.She is studying veterinary medicine.
Maryhelen Sbrocca-Lindsay
– has been coaching for 20 years and is nationally accredited.She is originally from Windsor, Ontario, Canada and currently
lives in Kansas City, Missouri.
Jo Ann Schneider Farris
– has been a Silver Medalist in ice dance at U.S. Championships.She is a U.S. Figure Skating double gold medalist and coaches
skaters of all ages and levels.She is an accomplished author and has contributed numerous
articles to skating websites.She writes for the “About Figure Skating” website and is a member
of the PSA and the Broadmoor Skating Club.Her children are also competitive skaters.
Peggy Schwarz
– and Alexander Koenig are the 1988 European Pair Bronze Medalists and
the 1992 German Champions.
They competed at the 1988, 1992 and 1994 Olympics.Peggy was German Champion with Mirko Muller from 1998 – 2000 and
won the bronze medal at the 1998 Olympics.
Judy Schwomeyer & Jim Sladky
– won the U.S. Pair Championships from 1968 – 1972.They were World Medalists from 1969 – 1972 and were inducted into
the U.S. Figure Skating Hall of fame in 1991.They created the Yankee Polka Compulsory Dance and skated
professionally for several years.Judy has been the muppeteer for Alice Snuffleupagus on Sesame
Street and portrayed Snoopy in the film “Jingle All the Way.”
Tiffany Scott
– and partner Philip Dulebohn are 2003 U.S. Pairs Champions.They have also been U.S. Bronze Medalists and three-time U.S.
Silver Medalists.Tiffany
placed 4th with Rusty Fein at the 2006 U.S. Pairs
Championships, being coached by Philip Dulebohn.
Jean Scott Brennan
– is the 1971 and 1973 British Champion and the 1973 European Silver
Medalist.She also competed
in the 1972 Olympics.
Larisa Selezneva & Oleg Makarov
– are the 1980 World Junior Pair Champions and 1987 and 1989 European
Champions.They are the
1985 World Silver Medalists and 1988 World Bronze Medalists.Larisa and Oleg won a bronze medal at the 1984 Olympics.They competed professionally and are currently coaching in
Newburgh, New York.
Lauren Senft
– and Leif Gislason are the 2004 Canadian Junior Ice Dance Silver
Medalists.Lauren and Augie
Hill placed 8th at the 2008 Canadian Championships.
Ken Shelley
– is 1972 U.S. Men’s Champion and placed 4th at the 1972
Olympics.Ken also competed
in pairs with JoJo Starbuck. They are three-time U.S. Champions, twice
World Bronze Medalists, and 1968 and 1972 Olympians.They skated with Ice Capades, competed professionally, and were
inducted into the U.S. Figure Skating Hall of Fame in 1994.
Dorian Shields Valles
– is the 1970 U.S. Novice Ladies Champion.She has been a national and international coach in Southern
California for over 30 years and is a Singles Technical Specialist for
U.S. Figure Skating.
Rob Shmalo
– and Kimberly Navarro were alternates for the 2002 U.S. Olympic Ice
Dance team.Rob is the 1997
Bronze and 1998 Silver Medalist in compulsory figures at U. S.
Nationals.Rob is now an
attorney with an international law firm in New York City.
Gary Shortland
– and Charlotte Clements are the 1997 and 1998 British Ice Dance
Champions.Gary is
currently coaching.
Allison Shultes
– is a member of Glens Falls Figure Skating Club and is currently
training in Lake Placid, New York.She has passed her Novice Freeskating, Gold Dance and Senior
Moves in the Field tests and has competed throughout Northeastern U.S.
Simmons Family
– Katelin and Kerry Simmons are both members of the Glens Falls Figure
Skating Club’s Basic Skills program. Their mom, Mary, is a club Board
Member.
Scott Smith
- is the 1999 U.S. Junior Champion and the 2003 U. S. Pewter Medalist.He also competed internationally.
Tommy Steenberg
– is the 2008 Eastern U.S. Men’s Champion and 2008 Junior World Team
Member.He is a three-time
Grand Prix Gold Medalist.
Tommy has also been a State Farm/U.S. Figure Skating Scholastic Honors
Team Member.
Deanna Stellato
– skated for the U.S. in the Junior Grand Prix for the 1999-2000 season.She is the 2000 Junior World Silver Medalist and Silver Medalist
at the Karl Shafer Memorial.
Tanya Street Burgess
– is a former U.S. and international competitor.She is a Gold-Medalist in and Senior-Rated in Freestyle and she
is a Certified PSA Program Director.Tanya coaches and is a Singles Technical Specialist.She has served on several committees for U.S. Figure Skating.
Hannah & Kelly Strong
– Hannah is a member of Glens Falls Figure Skating Club’s Basic Skills
Program.Hannah’s mom,
Kelly, is a club Board Member.
Stewart & Christy Sturgeon-
Stewart was a Regional Champion from 1979-1981.He has twice been U.S. Open Professional Challenge Cup Champion
and has 25 years’ experience skating in shows.He has coached since 1985 and is a national, international, world
and Olympic coach.He has a
degree in chemistry from Weber State University.Christy is a U.S. Figure Skating Gold Medalist in Figures and
Freestyle.She has 10
years’ experience skating in shows and has coached in Utah since 1985.She has directed numerous skating shows and also has over 30
years’ experience designing and making skating costumes.
Elizabeth (Punsalan) & Jerod Swallow
– are five-time U.S. Ice Dance Champions.They competed in the 1994 and 1998 Olympics and had three top-ten
finishes at the World Championships.They are currently coaching in the Detroit, Michigan area.
Rhea Sy
– has competed for both the U.S. and Canada.She is the 1994 U.S. Intermediate Silver Medalist, the 1995 U.S.
Novice Freestyle Silver Medalist and Novice Figures Gold Medalist.Rhea is also the 1999 Canadian Junior Silver Medalist and has
competed in pairs.She is
currently pursuing a biology degree at California State University at
Long Beach and hopes to become a biology teacher.
Jenna Syken
– was born in Chester, Pennsylvania.She is the 2006 Junior Israeli Champion and the 2009 Israeli
Champion.Her sister,
